'When the Counsellor (Holy Spirit) comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me;'

From his throne in heaven, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit on the feast of Pentecost, soon after he had ascended to heaven. He sent the Holy Spirit to lead us into the truth about himself, that he is God and Saviour, so that we might believe, and so be forgiven all our sins, past, present and future, and receive the gift of eternal life, and enjoy fellowship with God as our heavenly Father.
